Located in southernmost part of nature rich Izu, in Shimokamo, is a five star ryokan of Hotel Ikona.
The building is of the “Sukiya” structure (old Japanese style building) expressing the elegance of Japanese architect culture.
There are 44 rooms in all.
Please spend everlasting moments in the four open-air baths of natural onsen with source hot spring’s faucet always left open, our proud seasonal kaiseki dishes (tea ceremony dishes) and the beautiful Japanese garden.
We are a small luxurious ryokan representing Japan, introduced in Canadian press and the TIME magazine.
Premium service: Experience making steamed egg using salt onsen or vegetables to take home.
Salt steam from onsen, low temperature mist sauna, painting post card experience, 10% off ticket to esthetic and ume (Japanese apricot) juice making experience (in June) are available.
Seasonal sceneries may be enjoyed right here, from inside the building.
