Higashiizu Town (East Area)   Kawazu Town (East Area)
Higashiizu Town Higashiizu Town is halfway down the Izu Peninsula, on the eastern side. Spend some time relaxing in the hot springs of the town, with the Amagi mountain range to the west, and the Pacific Ocean to the east. The town is also especially proud of its cooking, and the locally caught red snapper is a real treat.   Kawazu Town The Amagi pass is you will find the old Amagi Tunnel, which appears in Kawabata's novel, "Izu no Odoriko".
The Kawazu river tumbles down from Mt. Amagi and branches into seven waterfalls, eventually running down to deep azure sea. Kawazu Town is famous as a producer of Japanese "wasabi" radish,carnations and irises, etc.

Izu Nagaoka Town "Flowers, history and Mt. Fuji".
Izu Nagaoka is well known for the plentiful hot water of its onsens.
The town also has many festivals such as "Nue-barai"on 28th January, the Genji Iris Festival on the first weekend in July and the Geta Festival where used wooden clogs are burned in offering on 11th November. Mishima Stn., then 20 min. by Izu-Hakone Line to Izu Nagaoka Stn..

Amagi Yugashima Town (Center Area)   Nishiizu Town (West Area)
Amagi Yugashima Town Around 6km from the old Amagi Tunnel, there is the Hatcho-ike pond, which is a crater pond of Mt. Amagi. Hiking courses on Mt. Amagi are very popular, and there are lookouts from where great views of Mt. Fuji, Suruga Bay and Izu-shichito can be had.

  Nishiizu Town Nishiizu Town is situated right in the middle of the Izu Peninsula, on the west side.
At the popular tourist spot, Dogashima, there are protected natural caves and many other attractions.
Also, Dogashima is home to many hot springs, such as Ukishima Onsen and Neginohata Onsen.
 
Toi Town (West Area)   Heda Village (West Area)
Toi Town From Toi there are splendid views of Mt. Fuji, and even as far as the Southern Alps.
With a variety of different flowers in every season, spectacular sunsets that turn the horizon crimson, and the best quality hot springs, Toi is really blessed with a superb natural environment.
Koibitomisaki,or"Lover's Point", is very popular with the younger set, and is one of the town's most famous spots.
  Heda Village Within the village there are beach and auto-camping facilities, and a museum with exhibits from Japan's first western style shipbuilding yard.
Local delicacies include fresh giant Japanese spider crabs and other deep sea delights.
 
Shimoda City (South Area)   Minamiizu Town (South Area)
Shimoda City Shimoda City is situated south eastern tip of the Izu Peninsula.
It is known as the city from which the nation was opened up to the world, with
the arrival of Commodore Perry's black ships. There are ten white sand bathing
beaches, and many different types of land and sea food available.
  Kawazu Town Minamiizu town is right on the southernmost tip of the Izu Peninsula.
With the plentiful hot springs of the Shimokamo Onsen and the beach at Yumigahama,
selected as one of the most beautiful in Japan, and the rugged charm of the rias
coast at Irozaki, the area is one of unbeatable scenic beauty.
